Shipping Policy

At AuctionKoi, we are committed to delivering high-quality koi with a shipping process that prioritizes their health and safety. Please read this policy in full before finalizing your order.

Preparation & Holding

After purchase, our team will contact you to coordinate shipping. Your koi will be placed in a designated shipping tank for a 7-day preparation period once the following are confirmed:

  • Your nearest Delta Cargo hub

  • A shipping date that works for both parties

  • Any additional required shipping information

You are not required to pay shipping immediately. However, shipping must be paid no later than the day before your scheduled ship date.

Shipping Method & Schedule

We ship via Delta Cargo Overnight Shipping. Our standard shipping days are Monday through Wednesday, meaning koi are typically delivered Tuesday through Thursday.

Once the koi leaves our facility and is in Delta Cargo’s possession, AuctionKoi is no longer responsible for the koi. Delta Cargo controls the timing, routing, and handling of the shipment—we have no control over delays, damages, or issues that occur after drop-off.

Packaging & Delivery Timing

Your koi will be shipped in a sealed plastic bag filled with clean water and pure oxygen, placed inside a secure, insulated box designed to last up to 48 hours in transit. In most cases, koi arrive within 24 hours.

We strongly recommend you pick up your shipment on time and bring the koi home promptly and be sure to let the koi stay in the bag and get acclimated to your water temperature for 30mins. AuctionKoi is not liable for koi health issues resulting from late pickups or mishandling once the koi is in your care.

Shipping Payment Deadline

Shipping must be paid by the day before your confirmed shipping date. If payment is not received by this deadline, your shipment will be postponed and rescheduled.

Lack of Communication

If you do not respond after purchasing your koi, we will reach out in the following order:

  1. Email (The main one tied to your account)

  2. Phone call

  3. Text message

  4. Follow-up email

If there is still no response, your koi will be placed into Azukari (holding), and a monthly holding fee will apply. After a few months and still no communication we hold the right to resell your koi. We are not responsible for missed shipments or delays caused by incorrect contact information or lack of response.

Important Liability Note

Once your koi is handed off to Delta Cargo or picked up by you, AuctionKoi is no longer liable for the condition, health, or safety of the fish. We guarantee the health and quality of our koi up until the moment they leave our facility.
